Gathering in the Nation’s Capital
The 2018 National Workshop for Christian Unity will take place in our nation’s capital – in metropolitan Washington, DC – 16 to 19 April 2018. The Workshop Hotel is the Sheraton Silver Spring Hotel, just a few blocks from the Silver Spring Metro Station.
Planning is already underway for the 2018 Workshop. Being in the nation’s capital will allow us to explore topics of religion and politics, equity and justice, and an increasingly complex multi-faith landscape in the nation. The opening of the annual Ecumenical Advocacy Days in Washington takes place immediately following the 2018 Workshop. We will continue to lift up relationship-building among Christian ecumenical partners. And we will intentionally continue our journey together following the commemorations of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation – a common journey to heal the wounds of discord and separation so that the world may believe.
