Sheraton Silver Spring Hotel Transportation Details

Sheraton Silver Spring Hotel is located in downtown Silver Spring, Maryland within the Washington, D.C. metro area. The hotel is within walking distance to local businesses, more than 20 restaurants, and many entertainment venues, including the American Film Institute Silver Theater.  The Silver Spring Red Line Metro stop is just a few blocks away, and the hotel also provides a complimentary shuttle to the station.  There is a 24-hour fitness center on site and a full service coffee shop in the lobby open until 9:00 p.m.

The Mica Restaurant at the Sheraton serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Mica Lounge is serves beverages and light snacks from 4 to 11 p.m. daily.

Arriving by Air

National Airport (DCA) is 10 miles away in nearby Arlington, Virginia and is the closest airport to the Sheraton Silver Spring Hotel.

Transit:  A trip on the Metro rail system takes about 35 minutes.  At the airport, catch the yellow line in the direction of Fort Totten.  At Fort Totten transfer from the yellow line to the red line in the direction of Glenmont.  Silver Spring is the second stop after Fort Totten.

Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) is about 20 miles away.

Transit:  Total trip:  1 hour.  At Concourse 3, Stop # 2, catch the B30 transit bus, which will take you to Greenbelt Yellow Line Metro stop.  Take the yellow line to Fort Totten At Fort Totten transfer from the yellow line to the red line in the direction of Glenmont.  Silver Spring is the second stop after Fort Totten.

Taxi:  45 minutes.  Cost $90-120.

Shuttle:  45 minutes.  Cost:  $30-80.  Jayride, SuperShuttle, Supreme Airport Shuttle, GO Airport Express Shuttle, Montgomery Express

Dulles International Airport (IAD) is approximately 30 miles away.

Transit: Total trip:  1 hour.  Catch the Silver Line Express Bus at Arrival Door 4 on the Baggage Claim Level.  The bus will take you to the Wiehle-Reston East Sliver Line Metro stop.  Take the Silver Line to the Metro Station stop and transfer to the red line in the direction of Glenmont.  Exit at the Silver Spring Red Line station.

Taxi:  45 minutes.  Cost  $60-100

Shuttle:  45 minutes.  Cost:  $30-70.  Shuttles are located at the Lower level of the Terminal at Door 2 or Door 4.  SuperShuttle, Supreme Airport Shuttle

Farragut North: access to Connecticut Avenue, the business district and a short walk to The White House
